This is the 35 when I was putting the 540's in years ago, not so clean now but will get a polishing when I'm done.

This 35 when it had M-1 Procharged 509's in the 88-93 range would go through regular Bravos, I did put XR's on it with the 509's and never had a problem

Dude... I was around procharger in the days of the fountain. I saw the literal racks full of broken B1s and how many times the power was changed in that boat. It was a pile, I definitely don't remember it running over 100, for some reason 93 is the number that hits me?, anyway it never ran more than a few hours and Dan absolutely hated it because of it. I was one of Dorian's best friends, thanks for that old pic BTW..
And a 160mph HTM??
DUDE... please, please tell me it was a bravo boat as well.. I gotta hear this!

What I believe you have are motors that have exceeded the power limits of the b1 and xr drive and you should be looking into a different drive set-up and this is only my opinion

I mean 160mph HTM!!!?
FYI, Shyla Styles calls me occasionally and pays me $10k to bang her...

I knew Dorian quite well, and yes that 42 ate regular Bravos that day we tested the 42 it ran 109 best in Havasu, when Kromer left they really in my opinion had nobody qualified there in Marine or to work on that boat, and no read post my HTM had Bmax and it would crush the upper bearing about one a month we had to replaced them, the HTM when Steve was killed was in the 150's with XR's I honestly believe to this day a drive broke whey the boat crashed.

Dorian Dan and Kromer were regulars at my place they would forward the tech line to my shop for marine I worked real close with Kromer on developing the Marine kits it was a bummer when they pulled any further marine development. If Dorian ever told you a story about The Donzi and Police or the 26 year old virgin or racing the Procharger dually in CA that was me.
This is the Very first HP500 kit ran 112 in the carbon HTM on Right same boat that ran 150's with Bravos many publications on that

So your that kind, seems most that have never built or owned a fast boat are speculatory but when you do it every day for 15 years its a common occurrence.

If you do some research on line we took some HTM's loaded and ran 123 in the 1/4 mile for a promo on stern drive drags at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix

BadReputation 10-13-2016 02:23 PM

I just know what it takes to achieve those speeds, and the technology wasn't there when you claim to have done this. It takes huge power, superb rigging, and much more hull efficiency than any of the boats you are talking about. Not to mention the props and gears required to go those speeds simply weren't available back then, especially in bravos!

CPM 10-13-2016 02:49 PM

Yes they were and were done, I did it have 28 various magazine articles on doing it. I'm sure the Firebird stunt can be found on line 123 was amazing for that in a 1/4 and there are even posts on here about the speeds we were running I was just reading one on Steves accident but one reason I'm out of it all of my friends are dead. I made it out and its just a hobby I still own a manufacturing company and supply to KE Hardin and CP. The 150 Bravo boat was for sale and is still around I thought abut buying it last year for keep sake but decided to pass.

This is how the kit looks on a Tunnel Ram most do not know it but it was actually designed for that intake when you get the kit it has a adaptor that bolts to the lower box to fit a Offy dual quad intake, but the bolt pattern on the box is actually the 8 bolt top plate pattern on the Edelbrock Tunnel Ram, I would see a very noticeable amount of power gain with the tunnel ram versus the Offy intake
