1996 Stepped 35 screw in or out
I have a 96 35 foot with M4 Procharged 540's XR drives turning 34 bravo ones screwing out, the current power has been in the boat for about 10 years and I have it apart for repairs the two major issues are, the boat gets a lot of tail lift at WOT runs high 110-120 depending on conditions about the only thing in the water is the props, second and worse problem it spreads the drives pushing them outward and eventually it breaks the transom assembly and breaks the guide off drive housing, I have it apart now installing new HP transom assemblies and I was wondering any experience first hand on screwing them in versus out.

it to win!!! That is what I've always heard. Has proven true in my case.

Maybe consider dual tie bars and look for worn steering parts as well.

UMM you were running standard Bravo transom assemblies for 10 years while making enough power to run nearly 120 in a single step 35 fountain??? AND standard Bravo lowers??? I have a VERY hard time believing this? What is the sorcery behind getting this boat to 120 with B1's????

My non-step 35 with b1's would last just hours before the gears would break running in the low 90's
