That is a great boat! My buddy had it for several yrs in TX.

One quick tip.... With as much work and detail as you are putting into this project, do yourself a favor, put in some alum tanks. It may be a bit more money and time up front, however, it will save you headaches and will probably make the boat more valuable in terms of resale.

I thought the same thing. Josh the last owner had just put brand new bladders in it, but there was still a strong fuel smell. I pulled the floors and pressurized the tanks and went after them with soapy water. I found one fill hose that the inside was folded over from prying it off with a screwdriver. After pulling the tanks and looking them over I decided to give them a try. It really isn't that big of a job to pull them. We found a few areas that could cause some chaffing issues. So we cleaned them up. We also have made the cells more secure with the way we're going to hold them in. Time will tell.

Awesome. Love these boats. When you say 565s is that the merc 565s or is this some custom built 565ci engines? May have missed it if you said.

It is the new M series closed coupled connection. The same as the M8. Your trans bolts to the mid plate this way you don't have to have transom specific for drive line or closed coupled. You can do either with this style. I will post a picture of it with the drive line kit as soon as I get back to the shop.
