M8 close coupled attachment.
This way the M series transom can be used for either.
Also same trans. Just need the flange for drive line.

No that's where your driveshaft would bolt to.

Not to confuse anyone the close coupled is the same as the plug in.

That's awesome, about time they used a simple crossover design. How long do you plan on keeping this boat? I'm gonna start stuffing my piggy bank and eating peanut butter sandwiches now.
