I have heard of ballast tanks for wake board boats and what not, but I didnt know they put them on speed boats. Im guessing that is only larger ones? Curious what these are used for or how much they effect the boat when you fill them up/dump them or when they are used. Noob question here.

They are normally just used in race boats to help balance them in different conditions during the race, the PR's came with them.

Even the little class 700 boats have them.

Default Update

Haven’t posted anything in awhile so I figured I would update. We have been waiting on a base tune from an undisclosed tuner for 6 months and we finally have our hands on it! Gonna start the motors at island racing and verify everything is good before running them down to marks at precision marine for final dial in. In the mean time I have been working on the new fuel pump/filter mounts and plumbing for the new fuel/water setup. More pictures to come and hopefully some dyno numbers in the next month!!!

Running into some tuning issues, We found out we had a bad coil driver in the Ecm and we also changed to a 1075 coil setup so there is some more fine tuning. Motors made 1000hp at 5k rpm on 6lbs of boost so once dialed in they should definitely make the numbers we are hoping for. Unfortunately I don’t believe the boat will hit water this year but all good things come in time!
