Take the panel off that is the foot rest and you can access everything easy

Flat Rate my panel was just off, is there fuse boxes behind that panel?

I had a similar discovery in my 1996 35' Lightning! It appeared that the wires were set up to carry way too much load for their size! There was one 10awg wire running from each of the #1 terminals on the inside of the battery switches feeding a common bus bar that serviced (5) of the six breakers under the back seat. The insulation on each wire was completely melted away!

I'm guessing that if someone turned on only one battery switch, a 10 gage wire was trying to service everything from the other battery switch because of the connection through the buss bar.

I did away with the bus bar that connected all five of the breakers and ran one lead to each breaker. I took three from each battery switch. The sixth one already had a separate lead because it feeds the automatic bilge pump.
