The 32' cockpit is too small. The 29 cockpit is very roomy and definitely a noticeable difference compared to the 32. Definitely get a blue motor as well, 500efi or 525efi.

I have owned and boated with a 27 single big block, a 29 with twin small blocks, and a 32 with twin big blocks. The 32 was a great riding boat, with about the same size cockpit as the 27, and very little room to move in bilge. I loved my 29 as it had more cockpit room than the 27 and 32, rode good for its size (I have my boats out mainly on holiday and event weekends when Cumberland is at its roughest), and even with the twin small blocks had some room in the bilge to work around the engines .Also, if you are trailering the boat to and from the lake, the 29 is a little easier to haul as well. As for maintenance, twin small blocks vs. a single "performance" big block (500, 525, etc) I think would be about the same cost anyway you look at it. After boating, wrenching, and towing my 32 I decided I should have bought the 35 lol.

First off here Jay, Thank You for your service without which none of us would be able to enjoy our free time. Having owned two Fountains, they are hard to beat, I do find myself looking to drop down in size. For the simple reason of ease of use.
