Talking 2000 29 fever with 377 scorpions

Have some questions regarding props for this boat, I am picking boat up tomarrow and what to know if anyone has this setup in there 29. pros and cons?
Got the performance report from fountain and wot was 76mph with 24 hydros and 1.50 bravos at 5275 rpm
Can this package swing some 26's or 28's with the 1.50 drive?
My motor guy was telling me we can up the rpms of the motors to 6k or more should take 6k no problem with it being a full roller motor?, he has ability to program mefi3...
Any answers or help is greatly appreciated! This is my first Fountain my dad used to have a 1988 242ls formula and as a kid I always drooled over the looks of the fountain, and now I will actually own one!!!!!!!

I'd try Bravo 28's and a labbed set of 28's. Should be closer to 80. I run 377's whippled so a slightly different package on a 28zx, but nearly the same weight, maybe around 425-450 for power aside. Tested Bravo 28, 28 labbed, 30 and Throttle Up 5 blade 28's that came with boat. 5 blade 28p worked best for me, better plane, mid range speed and top end...but the labbed 28's I kept for my spare set.

Only way to know is to test. Lots of props moving around on here and the facebook groups, shouldn't be hard to find what you want, test and sell.

Good luck!

Fountains tend to love hydros. Don't just get stuck on bravo props. Buddy with a 32 just tested hydros and bravos and the hydros won. QIVs because of the cleaver style. Fountains carry the bow well and bravos are bow lifters. But yes test test test. Lol

All I'll say is be careful there. Some people have had success but a lot have had issues also.

Actually they are redoing the q4 foundry. I'd look in your area to borrow some for testing. Definitely test a few different sets.
