Thumbs up Mercruiser 500efi lifter replacement???

I have to replace my lifters in my 500efi. Teague marine said crane cams 13532 will be direct replacement and is a bar style lifter. Also said will work with stock pushrod length. I am concerned they will not work with stock pushrods. Does anyone know if they will and does anyone have experience with these lifters. Thanks

That’s what you want.

Add a -16 at the end and it’s the complete set.

yes. Are you also doing springs while it’s apart?

I heard that the stock lifters were a odd length to begin with, something Mercury Racing did for some reason. Is it true you can actually get by with a standard BBC lifter and different size push rods for a lot less? If the case what lifters and what length pushrods? 850 for a set of lifters seems crazy to me.
