Default Fuel capacity 35 ex

Ran out of gas, refilled with 60 gallons each side. Boat is 06 35ex. Read it should hold 160 gal total. Put till gas came out of fill, should I have tried to put more? Any easy way to fill without getting gas everywhere?

Should be 160. I've put 72 per side in my 95 35. Maybe check the length of your pickups. They could have been cut down or too short to start with. You'll never get it all out

thanks. Also gauges were showing half full. 7 miles later out of gas and both showed empty. Any solutions or just fill each time like I normally do.

1/2 is empty. Lol. I've heard of people buying adjustable senders and taking the time to dial them in. In my case it appears as soon as it moves off full it's about 1/2 and then 1/2 you better be pulling in for fuel.

First year with boat. Must have run a few times on fumes without knowing. Did notice it stays on full for a while. Thought it was good gas mileage, 😃. Thanks for info. Now if I can figure how to get it full!

I'd pull the pickups they should be about an inch off tank bottom.

Not to mention it's not uncommon to leave 10-15 gallons of fuel a side because pickups and tank shape.

Will take a look. Yesterday was first time out without topping off. Was going for quick ride on local river, so thought it was ok. Getting towed in by 14’ aluminum boat doesn’t look to good!

Definitely. We've all run out before. That's how we learn our gauges. Haha
