27 fever sun pad question
new fever owner, question on the aft sun pad ..... The pad has been recovered and seems is not properly attached at the hinge area as the fiberglass tub is curved and the upholstery is not, photos of a factory unit will be very helpful |
I don’t have any pics of my old 27 or my current 32 but the Sunpad on all fevers are similar. I done an eBay search and found this 27(not my boat). Pic 3 may help. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F302821984242 |

my 27' https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...2a1c9822b4.jpg my 32' The sunpads are stapled to plywood. At the rear, Fountain just cut a strip of plywood with an angle on the end and stapled that piece to the main plywood base to give it the downward slope at the rear. If someone has sat on the rear and pulled up on that angled piece it probably came unstapled and is a little flimsy. On my 32, I epoxied that piece back on and then put a couple strips of glass on both sides of the joint to make the rear solid. So you either have a loose fitting rear piece, or someone did a short cut and cut corners. |
