Question To Cut Or Not?

I HAVE A 93 29-FEVER WITH TWIN 502 MAGS.
MY QUESTION IS WILL 250 B&M SUPERCHARGERS FIT UNDER THE HATCH WITH OUT CUTTING IT?
THANKS FOR YOUR IN PUT.

A local guy has a '99 29' with t/454's and has 250 blowers with no problems with hatch. I believe with his being newer, his motors maybe be mounted even higher than yours, so you should be better off. Can't remember if he had to make clearance in the back of the seat for the pulleys though.

I have a 94' 27'r that has a 250. Again, no hatch issues, but clearanced for the pulley. My engine shop guy has a newer 27', also with 250. He had to raise the hatch 1" to clear the air cleaner. The newer boats have a higher X dim, hence the high mounted motors.
Picture is of my motor with the modification.

YOU CAN! It's for sale.

Seen best of 83mph last yr. But ran out of prop. 27" Was spinning at 5500. Probably could have seen a little more speed if I stepped up to a 28", or so.

Hey Eric,
Thats the plan. Going thru the finance thing right now. Looking at getting in the 32'-35' range. Hope to have one by spring. Fountain, PQ, or Formula. Don't know for sure yet what we want.

SO, even removed the TCM sticker from the truck, huh? Dude, you must really be down on boating.
Still pursuing the ATV route?

Jerry

I think I would look good driving a Fountain! BUT, it's gonna be awhile til we get another boat.

Im not down on boating. It just got to be too expensive and my bad luck was killing me. A new motor every winter for 3 years got old. Plus all the other crap that goes along with that.

We'll be moving back home to Texas right after the 1st of the year. Im gonna try starting a small biz and look for some land to buy so the boating will come back in the picture later. We do miss it but the new hobby keeps us occupied just fine. Got a couple ATV's and are having a blast plying in the DIRT! Check out this link. This is what Im riding.http://www.suzukicycles.com/sr_03/at...ionshots.shtml

Jerry, I have a friend with a very nice Fountain 35 classic with HP500 carbs. I've ridin in it and I have to say it's impressive! Handling is awesome and it'll do 82-84mph any day.

talk soon, Eric

Eric,
Just realized today my wife was the last person logged on so when I replied it listed her name "Dabeaktress". I know you had some bad breaks, no pun intended, with the Checkmate. But once you have the boating bug you'll never get rid of it. When we moved to VA from Florida I said my boating days were over. Well as you know we are on our second boat since we got here. Keep in touch when you relocate.
If we move back to Florida a 35 or 38 will make a nice Gulf cruiser.
