I have the Polyform covers on every fender on my boat, very much like yours, better they get snagged than the boat get f'd.

Right!

I think I had Polyform covers before - but they seemed to stay wet longer? (...which is generally ok! LOL)

Those that I posted the link to are thin spandex material and dry within an hour usually.
