Open bow?

Sunsation and other brands have/had warning labels about running at speeds of 30 or under (IIRC) with people in the bow.
I wouldn't say it's a terrible idea, if it's going to allow YOU to enjoy YOUR boat more.
However, plan on owning it forever...
...and/or...
...be willing to wait forever to sell it...
...and/or...
...be willing to take a significant value hit.

There is a velocity up here with a bow seating area, I thought it was neat, I don't think you would want to be in the front when it stuffs a wave!

Thanks for all the replies. I'm still on the fence. I really like the speed and how the boat handles the water (we keep it @ Lake of the Ozarks). My wife likes the 32 Sunsations, but they do not perform like this boat.

You may be money ahead finding a soggy hull for cheap. Send it to a competent glass shop and have the whole thing done at once. Buy a couple 1000hp engines from Sick Stringer and go have some fun!

They made a handful of 36' Sunsations, and at least a couple MCOB I think.
Also, look at the Magic/Sleekcraft MCOB. One ended up out here in VA, and a buddy, jwstoys here on OSO, also a boat/truck dealer had it for a while I was really impressed by the boat overall; VERY big for a 34'.

The same hull with a center console layout would be deemed safe. Call it a side console. Most of the west boat builders basically cut a hole and build bench seats rather than a V berth. Usually, the bulkheads are the same.
