Man.. I thought it would be easy to clean to bilge not having an engine in there... 6 hours later... Its a labor of love no doubt. Happy to be able to replace the bilge pumps, blowers, going to remove the Y in the exhaust and get a block off plate. Gonna be a new boat before to long! That is for another day.

What did you use to clean the bilge? It looks good from the picture. I am having the same issues with cleaning. There is some yellowing from the previous owner that I cannot get out. A few years back I had some blue shop towels that got wet and left a residue behind. I have gotten all the transom assemblies, rigging, power steering hoses re-routed and minor stuff done. Going to dunk the boat tied down to the trailer next week to check for leaks before engines go back in. But that spotted bilge is driving me nuts. I even thought about just re-painting the bilge floor.

Do yourself a favor and reseal EVERYTHING.

Tabs, transoms ass, pull each of those screws out and seal.

think of how old the boat is, 4200 only last for so long.

Majority of the time I used Dawn dishsoap and a hard bristle dish brush. Once I got most of the grime off I switched to Bio-Kleen Amazing Clean. I dont know that you will have any luck getting a stain out though without painting over it. And if you do that you might as well do the whole bilge..

We have to pull most of it apart due to something in the transom leaking through, So we will be sealing that and the exhaust for sure. Im make sure we do this tabs as well and any other thing that is thru hull for sure. We plan to fill all of the not used holes in the bilge with some sort of silicone for sure.

This project went from "just a top end refresh" to well... while the engine is out, might as well...
