Default 38 Express Cruiser Exhaust question

Im in the middle of building two 496's, with forged internals from Raylar, 4.5 stroker kits with blower 8.5 pistions. Cam shaft also from Raylar, BP211S, Instake 526 lift/ 231 duration. Exhaust 561 lift/242 duration.
Whipple Superchargers and new exhaust manifolds and risers from seaward.
My question is about the exhaust, I have been told I may have a reversion issue with this cam profile and that I should remove Y down pipe from the exhaust system. Is this true?
Also, if I remove the Y pipe how much louder will the boat be? I dont want a loud cruiser.
Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for any help on this
Dan

A picture of your exhaust will help a lot.

I have the same. I believe the y pipe needs to be there with tailpipes in the water.

Do you have any info on that? I would appreciate any info one way or the other. I dont want to get rid of the y pipe, just dont want any issues with reversion.

Unfortunately I cant post a picture because I havent made enough posts on this forum. It is stock exhaust setup that all fountain 38 Express cruisers have.
