I agree with FeverMike,
Two different boats. To my knowledge the 24 was a ski boat, that would haul ass. with the 502 I think it would run 70+. However it was a sit down boat and I am not sure about the cabin.
As for a 27, that what I have and love it. Also I think the step hull came in late 1994, so in 1994 you may find both step and nonstep. I don't know what you are looking for but their is a 1992? 27 in the classified forsale, with big power.

I'd go for the 27. Unless you're boating where it's pretty calm, the 24 is too low freeboard to be really practical. (I almost bought one until I found out it wouldn't be good in the bay.) Also, the 27 has a cabin; the 24 has a crawl space under the foredeck. About the step - I seem to remember Powerboat hating the original 24 and then giving it better marks once Reggie put a step under it.

FEVER MIKE I DO BOAT ON PERCY AND HICKORY. IN 96-97 I HAD ONE OF THE FAST BASS BOATS AN ALLISON WITH 260 MARINER. THE BOATING SEEN HAS CHANGED, PROFILE CATS, NORDIC 28,A COUPLE OF 25 BAJAS,FOUNTAINS,SCARABS,MY ELIMINATOR,CHECKMATES,2 BAJA H2XS WITH BLOWERS, AND YES THE GIRLS STILL GET NAKED....ITS GOTTEN BETTER THANKS FOR THE INFO I GUESS A 27 IS IN THE FUTURE.
