I really appreciate the suggestions, survey, costly repairs, etc..
Haven't had much luck on finding anything on the 3a's..
That 89 looks like a nice clean starting point for sure.
Long stort short, after 30 plus years since childhood of always wanting to get into a powerboat. Found a 1990 38 fever a year and a half ago. Spotless, blower motors, freshwater use, good history, solid boat, etc.. Ran it about 4 times last summer. Burning oil, starboard motor coating the transom with oil after each trip. Now I'm in the process of having both motors rebuilt. Big shocker for sure, it was the beginning of winter when i bought it so I didn't sea trail it or get it surveyed, mistake on my end. Hate to go through another season without one, which is the reason the I'm on here bothering you guys! Figured on maybe selling the 90 when I get it back..
Thanks again for all the replies.

Not turn key but you would know what you have when done.

Be sure to get a clear title in person during the sale no matter how cheap it is.
Isn't that boat offered by the same Randy Hartmann that used to be from LCM way back?
Anymore his name pops up in the beware section regarding title issues and un-transferred funds?

You had the motors rebuilt so know what's in them.
You can fix any rigging while getting it back together.
Buying a "turn key" 30-35 year old boat never is.
