Question 27 fever issues

I found a 1999 27 fever with a windshield 502 with 160 hours 55K
are there any issues with these boats?? and do you think resale will be hurt based on the fact that you can buy a brand new 2003 for 68k. it does not have quick and quite but I could add it later? I guess, anyone have any opinions on the 27. Also I,m in NJ and it,s in Texas anyone near by could check it out???

Where in TX? If it's near Houston, I'd gladly go. Any excuse to check out a beak boat.

Cool

I would'nt be concerned that it dose'nt have quick and quite (silent choice) as it is illegal in many state's. Look at the back seat stitching and the board because you tend to step seat to get inn and they tend to rip.

Good Luck because

I've been very happy with our 27. 502 mag should get you 68-69mph if it's stock. Add a Procharger and exhaust and you're in the 80's. As with any used boat have the engine and drive checked over. You never really know how the prior owner drove it. Check hull for any impact points or repairs. Pretty solid boats.
