yes I am still interested. I am pretty sure that i will be able to do the run. I would be trailering my boat from old saybrook CT. I would also be interested in doing the run in june if it comes together.

fountain40 you can take your boat on new london ferry ,its 45 minutes to the south shore. i just bought my 35 from chris at ocean performance. thats the route i took.

How many guys are local - and is the preference to wait at the mouth of the Connetquot River or go into Hechscher?

There is a new Fountain dealer in Hampton Bays - Mariners Cove Marina with a dba of East End Jet Ski. The phone number is 631.283.7001. The owner, Ron, claims he wants to set up a Poker Run the summer. I am sure he would love to have a bunch of Fountains to show up. He also claimed he was going to be hosting a "Reggie" day. Meaning that Reggie was going to come up and visit as a promotional thing. There would be new boats to test drive with Reggie etc.

I am also into the Sound thing and agree you might want to start a thread about that.

Fastfountain, are there pics of your boat in here somewhere? I assume you boat on the Great South Bay and I am wondering if I have seen you.... Or know you..

Route and driver's meetings are an excellent idea. I think sooner than later for the route meeting, perhaps Feb.? It will take a few replies to nail down a date most of us locals can attend...Sonoma grill in Holbrook sound good for a central location...i'm in.

Meeting at the mouth of the Connetquot I feel will work out best. I will marshall the trailered boats from Heckshire and meet you all at the river. We can stay in touch via cell phone or vhf and keep everyone informed.

I just got off the phone with Ron from Mariniers Cove Marina and he seems interested in participating to some degree. I am going to meet with him this coming week to discuss some issues with my 29.

Steve, I agree that a route needs to be in place prior to checking on dockage and a place to rest our weary bodies after the run. Route meeting should take care of that. My work schedule can be haphazard at best, so I would like as much lead time as possible for said meeting and we should have a head count of locals...so far I have Nolimits, Fastfountain35, and I think Steve (Nolimits) said he had a coulple of other guys who were interested...yes?

With regard to the LI Sound run, I think that Tricky919 is going to spearhead that operation??? Again, count me in!
