Top Speed of 42
Anyone have an idea what the top speed of a 98 42' Lightning would be? Boat is stepped hull with twin Mag 502's with 4 blade 25's and 1.50 Bravos.

Mike, with twin 502 mags? My '99 32' runs right at 76 with 25" props. I don't see how it can be the same speed, even if it is better balanced. Theres alot more weight and wet surface to push.

Book shows this boat weighing 8800lbs. BTW, its a staggered set up but I can not see that adding speed, maybe handling is all. I was thinking 73-74, I would love to here if anyone has this same boat and configuration.
