Now now guys, you keep this up and the OL guys are going to get there panties in a wad.
OL's are nice boats, but they are like all boats (Fountains included) and don't appeal to everyone.
I'll take the money of an OL, buy a Fountain, and have money left over for gas.

Family and Performance Boating ran a similar article. The one I read seemed to be pretty "Fact Based". Baisically, it centered on OL setting their records at a poker run on an informal course (Reggie's perception) and Reggie's record on an established, certified course.
The interesting spin was that Reggie invited OL (Or anyone else, for that matter) to go to their course and run. The entry fee is 60k (Ouch!), but the winner gets that back.
Fiore said, "I would never do an event with him. If we go down there and kick his ass, he'll find some reason why that wasn't fair or that wasn't right."
This article refered to the Fountain/Scarab battles in the past.
The little bit that I know about this saga I can equate to this;
Fountain is to powerboat racing as Richard Petty is to Winston Cup. No one will ever surpass their dominance because Fountain takes racing seriously, and has for years. Lets hope they don't change.

I think fellow Fountain owners are going to like the new Fountain Ad campaign. It's going to be a fun summer.

If he did, which I am not sure of "world champion powerboats" was on their logo before that so I really dont know where it came from. But as far as price, if you are comparing a 42 executioner w/525 and bravo drives to a 42 Legacy w/1200's or what ever, #6 drives. Yeah you will have money left over and plenty of it. With comparable paint, interior, motors, drives, trailers etc. Fountain, Cig, and OL are not that far off of each other.
