How is that guage working out? If there is any problems just let me know. I heard from Gary today and apparently he is coming in for service Monday. Needs the other gimbal bearing and boot replaced. I had that drive off when I did the other one and it looked fine. I asked Mercury if I could change it and they said if it has no water in it it will be fine.
So rule of thumb ... don't always believe what the manufacturers say.

Guys ... Keep your ears peeled and listen for gimbal problems. I have seen more of them fail in the past two years than ever before in this business. Merc seems to only be having problems with the Bravo Gimbals.

Hi all,

Sage advice from Vinnie @ Mariner's Cove...heard a noise when flushing engine on the trailer this past Saturday evening. It sounded like the gimbal bearing. Called Vinnie and he agreed. He wanted me to bring the boat on Sunday but "Charlie" was moving up the coast and we expected it to be worse than it was. Brought the boat out Monday morning, Vinnie had already ordered the parts, had the drive off an called me to let me know it was the gimbal bearing. He said parts should be here today and he will complete the repair in addition to some other service bulletin and warranty work...now that's service! Thanks again Vin!
