I have a 2000 38' Lightning will all white graphics, Twin 500's with 150 hours I am about to sell. I have a guy that works for us that did alot of the graphics for Fountain, and he said it would be no problem to put the Anniversary Graphics on it. If you would like to see pictures, I can email them over to you.

Mike, is that boat still for sale? The last time I talked to them a month ago someone had put a deposit on it and it's listed as "sold" in the OSO classifieds.

Matthew, my first choice is a fever if I go with a Fountain because of the extra cockpit space.

The 38 fever is a great boat, but they are very hard to sell. Even though there is more space in the cockpit of the fever, you still cannot seat anymore people than in a Lightning. Also, you do not have the walk around area which makes getting to the bow of the fever a task. The lightning has much better lines, and is much more desirable than fever which helps on the resale side of things. You are definitely going after a great boat, and I would not even consider a Cigarette over a Fountain. The Anniversary Graphics are an excellent choice because there are not many boats out there with it. I had a dealer friend of mine from Cincinnati that called me last week, wanting to know if I would sell my boat because he had a guy that was wanting a 38 with Anniversary Graphics on it. Was it you?

I have a 2001 38 Fever w/ 500's. 65 hrs. Myco trailer. BOAT IS SPOTLESS and I can't even find a mark on the rub rail. Really shows as brand new. Interior is red/white. I can tak the boat to the factory and have them paint it the way you want it. Let me know if any interest

Hi Matthew,

Yes, Michael was probably calling for me.

Bill,

When my wife and I drove 12 hours to look at Micky's boat at the end of July it wasn't spotless. In fact is had several large stains on the seats - rust around the chrome fittings, a large area of discoloration on the port-side hull forward, and several very noticeable workmanship defects from the factory that we pointed out.

If my 35 was a 9 1/4 on a scale of 10 when I sold it then Micky's boat was an 8 to 8 1/2 at best. If he has taken care of those issues then it might show better now. It was a nice boat but far from perfect. If it had been in the condition that he described then we would have bought it on the spot.

But even then the boat's hour meter showed over 80 hrs on it and I know that it has been taken for test rides since, so what's up with saying that it only has 65 hours on it?

I tell you what......I have Tom Hanshaw's 38 Fever with Anniversary Graphics at my shop right now installing power. Why don't you come down and try my 38' Lightning, then you can take a look at Tom's boat and compare the difference between the Fever and Lightning sitting side by side.

I spoke w/ rusty (one of sales people) yesterday and he told exactly what you said above. He must have done something, because I get boats in from the factory that need more help than this thing. I mean, I was so impressed with the boat I literally walked around it (inside under the lights) and could not find a flaw w/ the exception of the "Fountain" metal piece that covers the rubrail seam on the stern having a few under-paint bubbles.

I'm not trying to work the boat on here, but just for (*(&& & giggles I will take a few really close-up shots and post them.
