any idea if a 1000hp motor running 3/4 throttle will burn more than 90gals. thought my tank was over a 100gals on the new boat but more like 90. I know I could do a 100 mile pokerrun with 650hp with 30gals left on a 100gal tank and higher rpms 5000 to 5400 with red line of 6000. I figure running across in nice to med water would run 4500 to 5000 rpm, full throttle would be 6400rpm. speeds would be 75 to 85. can you bring jerry cans of gas or would I need to put a second tank in 30gals in the floor. and this all depends if the boat is finished before then and having time to run it 1st.

To what are you referring? The pic of the Red and White Cig was the lunch Powerboat Rally to Jimmy Johnsons on Key Largo.

The Offshore Challenge weekend is not just a race. It is a Rock Concert Party in the park with the Betty bangs Girls, exotic and Muscel Car Show, A Bimini Ocean Race and an OPA Offshore Race Final on Sunday. Along with this a impromtu gathering of the Miami Recreational Performance Boat crowd.

Not knowing what boat size or hull style I still would still say that you would run out. That would be over 1 mile per gallon, very tough with that kind of power and that's if the seas or perfect and you run a go straight line. Add a fuel tank ,,, better to be safe than sorry!!

Running a average speed of 145 for 43 minutes is the ballz!

Way to go!
