Wow Bob, you sure do use up those 850's. Sorry to hear ya busted some really spendy parts. Lots of time to get her fixed before heading home. The lakes are still a little crusty up here. Look forward to seeing ya when ya get back.

Holy Cow! I am sorry to here that Bob but I guess like everything I have seen you do. If you are going to do it, you do it right. Good Luck with the race to get the work completed before the Poker run.

Bob,

Sorry to hear about your engine. Was that the same one that was repaired recently? Can you point back to an event that caused the destruction on Saturday, or did it just let go?

Yes, that was the engine that got water in it a month ago. I had pulled the motor and sent it up to Ron to clean it up. We then ran real stong the Sarasota Poker Run and no problem then on Saturday KOBOOM !! LOL At the time Problem Child was running away from the fleet so I thought I would play a little catch up. So I guess it is all Mikes fault !! LOL When she let go I just turned the key off and kept running on the other 2 till we got to Keewaydin. I knew I was running on borrowed time tho and cannot say I was surprised. Ron was [ is] scheduled to do a complete re build on all three motors right after Ft Myers PR but that baby never made it.
Right now a new block is in the air on it's way from Michigan to Texas where they do the machining. Then mid next week over to Sarasota where Ron will do his thing. Going to be tight but I will be at Ft Myers by hook or by crook.

Read carefully , John. I did not say I would be there with my boat !! LOL

Actually yes, I will be there with my boat. I have plan "B" in my back pocket. Anyone want to take a guess at what plan "B" is ? Right now I have to disappear for the rest of the evening. But I will be back !

Plan B1: Run on two engines ?

Plan B2: It's time for a repower any way ...

Plan B3: It's time for Diesels ...

We have a winner ! But I have to remove the center engine and move it into the vacant starboard slot to balance the boat. Also will try to find a pair of smaller props so the engines are not lugging as much. I have done this before. Should run in the low 80's which works for me.
