Actually the guys girlfriend was behind the wheel when it happened. We were waiting at the dock for ramp space to open up, I hear the motor on the boat behind us rev all the way up and BAM....no one knows what she was even doing with the boat. They have agreed to pay for everything. Just more work that I didn't need to mess with.....Dented and bent the outer tube of the platform. Now I need metal work and re-powder coating done.

John,
Talk about an instantly-sobering experience...
Good to hear it was just the swim platform - just think about the damage if you didn't have it there: drives, steering, transom, etc.
Maybe John (Specialized) can do the metal work for you?

I am still kicking myself for not going to the canoe races my wife was working, and I had people on my boat that had to be back early. I am happy to hear everyone had a good time, John sorry to hear about your boat.

In related news there was nother 38 special out at Keywadin that had a CC catch his anchor line with his prop. Spun the anchor line up so fast that bow got pulled down to the water and a collision occured between the bow and outboard of the CC.
I now understand why you all decide to stay in the bay vs going to amateur hr out at Keywadin. I ended up playing policeman all day long to protect my boat
