We're looking to head South also, probably in the next 12 months, done with the midwest Winters.
Everybody's telling me to give up the Formula and go to a CC or a 28-30 cat with OBs, any comments.
I just want to make sure we can make it to Key West every once in a while.

If you like to overnight on your boat you will love it here. Lots of stuff to do and islands to explore. Some inhabited and some not. I believe Cape COral does not allow a roof or cover to be built on boat lifts. Get a canvas cover and you should be fine. Another area to check is Ft. Myers Beach. I lived in s.e. Cape as well and I was 5 minutes to the river. Find a good realtor, this area is 2nd in the nation in foreclosures and great waterfront property can be had VERY reasonably.

For 314Joey, this by far the most informative web site I have found for real estate and boating issues. I called and told the realtor I was 3 years out from moving and he still called me back. You can search by area and by gulf access only. He has maps of gulf access and non-gulf access.
