Default RIP Don Messner

Don, who was 53 years young, passed today after a courageous 18 month battle against melanoma. Don, whose primary residence was in Pennsylvania, also had a home in Cape Coral and was an avid fan of the Florida boating lifestyle. He thoroughly enjoyed doing fun runs with FMO, especially the Sarasota overnights. He had a huge heart and was a class act. He was notorious for sneaking away from the dinner table and intercepting the waiter to pay for the bill. He will certainly be missed and never forgotten. In Don's memory let us not forget the importance of wearing hats and sunblock.

I was saddened to heard of Don's passing. It was a privilege to know him as a friend and loyal club member. We will all miss him, his smile and generosity. My sincere condolences to his family and many close friends.

This is very sad to hear. He was always a class act. My condolences to his family. RIP, Don.

sorry to hear. Rip don was an awesome guy. He lived right down the canal from my parents in Cape coral. He will be missed. Corey and Trista
