Peak a boo, Hans. LOL Nice article once again Scott. We are very fortunate in FMO to have such a diversified and talented group of individuals.

Fort Myers Offshore presents:
The Captain’s Corner, by Scott Verdonck
Today’s Captain: (newest) Board Member: Meghan Brousseau
Meghan and her husband Pierre have been passionate about boating their entire lives. Pierre's family was active in boating since he was a boy, and Meghan quickly adopted that enthusiasm when they met. Their two children, Alanna and Josh have grown up on boats and continue to be lifelong boaters. Meghan and Pierre's first boat together was a 23' Scorpian, followed by a 32' Pachanga, two Fountains (35' and 47'), a 42' Outerlimits, a 46' MTI, and their current favourite, a 36' Nor-tech Supercat, which FMO members may know as Little Red Nor-Tech. Along the way they've also owned a 34' and 42' Searay Sundancer, which Meghan likes to refer to as 'Mother Ships'. They're lucky enough to boat in two of the best places in the world: the Georgian Bay in Midland Ontario, and Cape Coral in sunny southwest Florida.
Meghan and Pierre started doing local poker runs in Canada with their 35' Fountain, branching out to runs in Miami with the purchase of their 47' Fountain. When the Performance Boat Club Events re-emerged in Canada in the early 2000s they joined as members and Meghan's background in marketing and events led to her involvement on the Board of Directors for the Club. Much like FMO, the PBC organizes a series of runs throughout Southern Ontario, with proceeds going to a various charities determined by the board and sponsoring members. Meghan's involvement in the Club includes event coordination, writing press releases, event and media sponsor outreach, alerting members of upcoming runs and events and providing general assistance to Club President, Carl McBride.
Meghan and Pierre were thrilled to learn that many of their boating friends were involved in Ft. Myers Offshore and they've attended many fun runs since purchasing their home in Cape Coral in 2011. The camaraderie of the organization, the chance to explore the waters in SW Florida and the charity angle were very appealing to them and they look forward to many years of boating fun! Meghan is thrilled to be a part of the FMO Board of Directors and she looks forward to contributing to this excellent organization.
