Update on upcoming FMO events
New Years Day fun run to Marco Island, Jan 1 / 15:
Last year we had a record 39 boats register for this event and we are hoping for another great turnout this year. Remember we are starting at 11:30 AM from our usual Sanibel Bridge rally point. The usual info / roll call will go out to the membership on or about December 20th.
We have booked a Jet Ranger helicopter for Jay to photo shoot club boats and we have an extra passenger seat available if anyone is interested in purchasing a one hour ride for just $ 300.00. Please contact me ASAP if interested. That in itself will not cover the heli cost so Jay has offered that anyone donating $ 50 - $ 100 towards the helicopter will get a free 16” X 24” print of their boat. That payment will be to FMO and can be done on the website www.ftmyersoffshore.com under the “Donation” button or at the lunch stop.
Hawks Cay Resort weekend fun run, Jan 30 - Feb 1 / 15:
Eric Belisle has done a great job of putting together a fun filled weekend for club members. To date we have 23 Captains registered for this event and should see 30 or more by the cut off date. If you are considering joining us for this event remember there are a limited number of rooms available to club members at a discount. The special rate expires the earlier of selling out of our block of rooms or Jan 6th, which is only a month away.
Once again we are going to conduct a charity auction to raise funds for the clubs student education foundation and if you have an item you would like to donate for auction please contact Eric at [email protected]

Membership renewal:
While almost 40 club members have renewed their membership for 2015. there are several more active members that will soon need to do so. FMO operates on a calendar year basis and the end of the year is less than a month away now. You would be doing us a huge favor by going to the website and renewing online. www.ftmyersoffshore.com So much of my time at our lunch stops is spent on dealing with this sort of thing and I get little time to enjoy visiting with fellow club members.
As well, please provide your current boat insurance info on the online form as that is an FMO requirement to participate in our events.
