Registration is now open for FMO’s annual Spring weekend fun run to the Hyatt Regency Marina & Hotel in Sarasota, FL. sponsored by DoubleR Performance. This event sells out early each year and with a limited number of slips and hotel rooms available, please act on it soon if you are considering joining us.

Club boats will depart from the Sanibel Bridge rally point for Sarasota on Friday April 22nd at 10 AM and travel the 80 miles via the ICW and Gulf of Mexico arriving in time for lunch. After spending the afternoon relaxing around the marina and poolside, club members will hit St. Armand’s Circle in the evening with it’s many great eating and drinking establishments. Saturday there will be an optional fun run to an area waterfront restaurant for lunch or some may just choose to relax at poolside or go shopping. Saturday evening will see the group assemble at the poolside bars for cocktails followed by a gourmet dinner on the patio surrounded by palm trees and downlighting to set the mood. FMO will again hold a charity auction in support of it’s student educational foundation. After dinner our DJ will get the music started and club members and their guests can dance the night away !
Sunday will see the group depart after breakfast and head back to their various home ports. On the way home some will stop for lunch at one of the many waterfront restaurants in the Pine Island Sound area capping off another club favourite FMO weekend event.

Hotel and event fees are very reasonable with our block rate of $ 219.00 per night at the Hyatt Regency, Captain event fees are just $ 150.00 and includes all weekend activities and 2 nights dockage while crew fees are just $ 100.00 each.

Registrations for our ever popular Sarasota event have been coming in nicely. At this time we have 24 boats registered. With us having all 28 slips in the marina booked and room for another 4 boats to raft we can take another 8 boats for this event.
