HELP!! how to tow off long island??
 

my brother is towing a boat home from long island. he said some roads are restricted to boats.

What is the best route offthe island? They are on 24 heading to 27. he is heading back to cincinnati.

Going east or west you will need to get on the Long Island Expressway route 495 as for north and south try Rt. 106/107
Where is the boat located ??

I have been caught on some of the places you can not go. Just stay off the parkways I think it is and he will be fine. May be a little backwards sounding but I wonder if the Throngs Neck to 95 would be the easiest thing to do? DO NOT do it durring rush hour. Towing through there durring rush hour SUCKS HUGE. No one will give you any room and he will be a wreck when he gets through.

They are enroute with the boat NOW! Some guy yelled at them to get off the parkway!! hehe!

They left from Lindenhurst. They are on Greenbelt prkway now.

They will be lucky if they can just get past NY in the next hours or two TOPS.

Yo! Get them to the LIE, then Clearview Expwy to the Throgs Neck to Cross Bronx to GW Bridge... they should be good from there.
Cops will not like a boat on a PKWY. Bridges are low on them.
No trucks, buses or commercial traffic.
