He means don't forget to exploit the bleaching capabilities of the sun. Mean old Mr. Sun is a natural "bleach."

Purchased the Magic Erasers at lunch today. Can't wait to try them.
My wife would laugh at me that I'm so excited to clean.

The magic erasers also clean black scuffs from docks off the rubrail and paint.

I've watched everything from the red spider sh!t stains, to mold stains disappear out of both white and colored marine vinyl with a few days of sun exposure. These are naturally occuring, biodegradable material, unlike grease and other stains. Why attack your stuff with chemicals unless you have to? I've learned to be patient (hard to do) and it has worked time and time again.

Nobody has told me yet what's the "magic" in magic eraser. It's either chemical or abrasive or both. New to the market. I won't use 'em on my boat until you chaps do more testing of the long-term effects on a variety of surfaces.

I still say if mold stains are the issue, park the open cockpit in the sun at every oppurtunity for a few days after a light onceover to see to it the mold stains are "available" not filtered from UV under dirt/dust.

You clean your fenders? :-)

************************************************** Hi! from a boat chic.....clean freak. The Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work awesome for seats, fenders. They are white sponges. Just wet them and scrub, wipe. Make sure you follow up with a clear, clean water rinse.

MEGA-DITTO's on the Magic Erasers.

THey even found dirt where i didn't know was there. They even seem to leave awaterproof finish on the vinyl--the water beads after you use it--

We use the Erasers on our boat, they work great!! You will be amazed how well they work. Clean one seat then back up and look... We've been using them for a good while and no ill effects on the vinyl.
