Default 26 Nova II 502 questions

Hey guys- getting the boat ready for summer (FINALLY!) and wanted to get some opinions- It is a 1988 26 Nova II Spyder which was a single 330HP replaced with a GM Performance 502/450HP (iron head version). It is straight thru hull exhaust right now. I have a complete silent choice set up sitting around which I was going to install soon. I noticed EMI has some decent looking switchable mufflers for a reasonable price (tips) which claim to drop you up to 14Db. I started think maybe I should sell the silent set up and just put the tips on to avoid all the labor. Any opinions? also, I'm not sure if I should be worried about any water reversion with this engine. It has about 80 hrs on it now and haven't really had any issues yet (all stock merc. exhaust). Last question- I think I am probably not using the right prop (mirage 23P) because on a GPS I have only been going about 52-53MPH at 5200. I checked w/ wellcraft and they gave me the original info showing about 50MPH with the original 330HP. Should I try maybe a 25P? This thing makes 550 lb-ft, so it doesn't have any trouble getting on plane. Thanks- sorry for the long winded post.

That's a fairly large boat to be using a Mirage prop. It's slipping like crazy if you're only going 52 at 5200. Try a 4 blade at the same pitch.
