I think it's interesting to see this breakdown of boats corrected for "beak and platforms" with 525's for power...

...style...resale and quality with the breakdown of prices says a lot.

The 30' Cigarette Vice is a realtively good deal per se' and being a true 30'er it aint no starter offshore with 525's and a 24 degree hull....it's comparable to many 35's out there. Would Powerboat call a 35' Fountain a "starter offshore"??
Somebody at Powerboat has tested too many 46'ers lately

A "starter offshore" is a 26' or 27'ers that have platforms... with a single or a pair of 350 magnums.

A 35' Fountain is barely over 30' on a good day. Handling and Fountain are not two words that go good together.

True enough, but that boat ain't what the general public is buying and its dead flat protected water. Plus, not alot of turns in a kilo run.

Originally they were to all have the same scheme (like the one in post 1) and you choose colors... now you can get it pretty much the way you want... within reason I am sure.... included... so I am told... a true custom boat....
