I just talked to my mechanic about my Minx. He said he has a rebuilt engine he can install for $2000, material and labor, as opposed to pulling my engine down and finding the problem. That will give me the option on running a more fuel efficient boat. My other Formula with the single 350 just sipped gas. I'll probably run the Minx more than the Formula this summer, not so much due to fuel cost, but the Minx is more suited to running in the river here, which is where I'll do most of my boating this summer.

Cuda that 350 carbed mag I had used as much gas as the fuel injected 502 I have now.

I love having a single. Its so much easier on the pocket book every time I have an "up grade" idea pop into my head. As for gas, whatever, when it says E on the dash, it need more. Besides, my cat get 1.2 mpg. way better than my old powerplay v got and its 20 mph faster too:)
