Are the shortblocks similar between the 525 and the 600(is it still based on a 502)? Besides the fact the 600's probably have different pistons for the charger setup. And has anyone been able to put a blower on the 525 yet? I know that Rob said that they haven't cracked the computers yet, but I hope someone is working on it.. Just wondering what kind of HP to expect from a 525 with a Whipple or Procharger will it be like the 600?

The first 525 boat to be whippled runs on my lake.The dyno showed them making over 700Hp.Great package,but with stock Bravos,unreliable.

I just had a used 525 with 58 hrs on it put on the dyno at Joey Griffins shop in NC about a week ago and it topped out at 545 HP.

Just FYI, I have a brand new zero hour 525 efi with headers for sale in case you know anyone looking for one.

Both are based on the 502 block.

Troutly you are right. I just looked a the Merc spec sheet. It must be the 625 Ilmor that was 92. Either that or I am just going brain dead.

Does anyone have any videos of the 525 running or idling? Wondering how they sound( like what size cam does the motor use and does it sound pretty healthy) heard a couple last summer, but really don't remember how they sounded? I was paying to much attention to the boat or the chicks that were in the boat Video or sound clip would be awesome!!!

Call Innovation. They dynoed enough of them.

They put out 560hp to 571hp......... 525's are bad ass!! Almost as bad as the Vortechs!!!
