In the words of Steve: "No Merit, Dirty Laundry" = POOF!

It's too damn easy for anyone to come on here out of the blue and start bitshing someone out, warranted or not, true or not. With no history and credibility, it's meaningless. Rules are rules....

i do agree with you guys on how he started the threads.
you cant come out swinging in the first round like he did.
IMO post count doesn't change the "value" of the post.... but it does help the credibility of the poster.

My point is all about the coming out swinging.

I read his posts.
I responded to him.
My responses got poofed too.

This forum is kind of a virtual yacht club.

If this guy walked into my yacht club and said "I want to join your yacht club because I absolutely hate one of your members and I want every member of this club to know about it" he would not be voted into the club.

However... if an existing member had a problem... so be it. It's not like he joined LOOKING for a problem.

Offshorenightmare's first thread on OSO was entitled "Todd Lamb we are calling you out!!"
For God's sake... the guys name might as well been ToddLambSucks.

Again... I don't know jack about Todd.

I just don't think thread number one should be a personal attack on an existing member. That's all.

Just my opinion.
That apparently is consistent with OSO Steve's.

9 times out of 10 I would say threads like these help get issues resolved,, and do much more good than bad,, we here on OSO are pretty damn good at sniffing out rats ...

If lamb wants to stake his reputaton on a measly 300.00 bucks that he probmised the guy and not even bother to pay him than so be it.. Had he sold me the boat and I found some DANGEROUS rigging that put my family in jeopardy,, 300 bucks would not have bought my silence...

ever feel sometimes that the law does a better job protecting the criminal than the victim,, thats what this feels like..

What do I do?

I agree with Chris that Lamb smells fishy.

But I also agree with Fund Razor about joining for the sole purpose of lynching someone.

I am so confused.
You guys handle this one.

A warning is a warning,, take it for what it's worth..... forewarned is forearmed..... This sport is much too expensive to be raked over the coals..... Remember when all the Gossip about National came out,,,, how many people were or could have been saved from that nightmare...

Maybe the reason it was removed becasue the guy that had the problems with Lamb contacted OSO adm and told them he does not know Offshorenightmare and does not want his Laundry aired with his problems he is having with Lamb.

as being previously nominated as head of OSO bullsh1t control I talked to Todd Lamb. Yes there were a few small issues with the boat (please don't go off on the tangent based solely on the one side of the story) but his side is alittle different. I will let him know about this thread and see if he is interested in telling his side. I think the 1 sided speculations should be put tp rest until both sides of the story are heard. And just a few more notes, 1) no I am not taking any sides I just think BOTH side needs to be heard before this kind of bashing takes place, 2) allan4 is a putz

WEll I would have to agre with Mike/nightmare. After reading his posts on the other forum, he was very concise through the whole process. Also being a police officer and doing the right thing is commendable instead of using his bage to try to win a fight. I agree with the locktite comment, wow what a crock. To bring personal matters into business is just wrong, as mike stated in his reply to lamb, "I am sorry to hear of your family crisis, yet we all have them, this doesnt negate you from handling your professional duties" I say let him post away, the fact that lamb hasnt responded shows that Mike/nightmare may be right.

Anyone notice that Offshorenightmare has been the only new member to sign up for the last 5 or so days? I can recall when there was a new member signing on ever few minutes it seemed.
Anyways, I don't care what the number of post are. Means absolutley nothing! I got a lot of post, so can I sell a fake Rolex? Been done before. The fact he had many post, allowed him to try to get away with it and then have 'supporters' on his side once his scam was exposed. WHere is he now????
If you have a legit beef and can keep it to the facts, post away. If it saves 1 person from the headache, it's all worth it. Isn't that part of what this board is about, helping others? Lamb deleted his topic, ya reckon to keep it from being made any more public than possible?
