Yeah?...... Keep reading...... There is a reason why the Popeye's cartoon character was on Copeland's race boats...... and not Popeye Doyle..... Copeland had the rights to the cartoon character........ or is the new Popeye's ownership trying to distance themselves from the cartoon character?

Bottom line...Popeye is a trademarked character........ and the image's use must be granted from the owner.

what do popeye and popeye's race boats have in common
 
the popeye platinum boat name goes back before the popeyes race team was started. The two boats have nothing in common other than the name being similar. If anyone would like to know more reply back and i will give you all the details.
