They dropped anchor but it still drug until they beached. They were not that far offshore to start with. The bottom is just sand so there really isnt much to get a good set with the anchor and the wind has been blowing out of the north at about 25knots for days...... shouldnt have been out there in the first place. They said that they just wanted to run up to St. Augustine on the outside to avoid no wake zones.... I think it is a delivery of a new boat!!

In pic #1 you can see the anchor chain and it looks like it may going under the boat.

My brother in Daytona said that it was still on the beach today.They had to remove all the fluids out of the boat[oil,diesel,and hydraulic fluids].They are going to cut the boat up because it is now sucked way down in the sand.What a shame
