Default Boat Suggestions:

I have about $25K+/- to spend and am trying to figure out what to buy. I know I will buy a used boat, but which one? I will spend most of my time on Bartlett (smooth as glass water), on Lake Pleasant (Very Rough), Meade, Havasu and Powell. I need a boat that will handle rough water, be able to seat at least 6, have big gas tanks ( the bigger the better for exploring the larger lakes **This is very important**), 20-24', and be a good ski/wakeboard boat. What are your guys suggestions?

Thanks,
Lake Ape!

24 or 25 Baja Outlaw will be in that price range, 1996-1998, however not many boats you will find around this board will be good for skiing/wakeboarding.

A 24 Outlaw will be good for everything, possibly with the exception of wakeboarding. It won't plane out until about 25mph. You would have to run a 4 blade prop and sacrafice some speed. For your budget, you will have to look in the 1992-1995's. They also have 100 gallon gas tanks.

Not a "go-fast" look, but an awsome boat I used to own. A 1998-2001 chris craft 210 br. (open bow run-about) Just sold my 2000 for 23K in mint condition volvo 5.7 280hp duo-prop ran 60mph. Would handle 3 ft. seas with the kids riding in the front. (deep V and heavy boat) Had a 55 gallon gas tank and a BATHROOM...small, but served the purpose!!! The deep v puts out a larger than normal wake for a wakeboard. You will love this boat if you go for a ride in one!!!!!

Try looking at a 26 or 28 Velocity, very fast for stock big block power, can be used for sking and has a large gas tank. Not the worlds best in rough water but does ok, I would look further towards the 28. Also has a LARGE cabin for that size boat, easy for overnighters.
