All that aside, if you are going to put this kind of power on a "Bravo style" drive, well, you already know the answer to that one.

I have been successful before. Alot has to do with the driver.

I run a solid roller 598 in my cat and have no regrets. I run a single Nickerson stage 5 1250 Dominator, which flows close to 1500 CFM. One suggestion would be to run headers, preferrably some with longer primary runners. Manifolds or CMI E-Top headers will probably cost you 50+ HP on a large inch NA motor compared to longer runners. Good luck!

Thanks Craig, I plan on using Lightning stainless headers. Maybe dry tube, not sure yet.

Most of the aftermarket blocks have a 4.625 max bore, So you still have25/1000s left. I ran these with a 34' V and bravos with no problems at all. It was a great package for me, ran great, never died, easy to start. I would definately do it again. As stated earlier this is a very popular combo, ours was Paul PFaff, it is also run by TMP, Cobra, Dereberry, just to name a few.

More stroke than bore normally aspirated especially with chevy style heads tend to not run as good as a 598 or 588 combo.

True about the Bravos. They dont like big stroke motors[more torque breaks them]
