Powder coating machine
 

Lately, I have had tons of stuff powdercoated. Every time I want to get something done, I have to wait until either the powdercoater is shooting my color or I have to have a bunch of stuff then he'll do a special shoot. I was thinking, several of my employees can paint pretty well. I keep seeing all types of Powdercoating machines on Ebay. Has anyone ever used one of these. Any feedback as to how well they work. If I had my own powdercoating machine, everything I own would be purple!!

you need an oven and a blast machine and a spray booth...little more involved then just that.........talk to goldman he were tell you were to send them so the y come back perfect, on time and wont peel

besides a real powdercoating gun is around 4k that stuff is junk

If you've been doing my Powdercating you have done a great job. The guy I used before you was horrible. I have 2 Flame arrestors coming from Too Old on Wed. I need them done by thursday. Any chance. Larry said nobody would do it that fast.

My biggest problem is having Goldman bring the stuff to you. He won't tell me who you are, "It's a big secret"!

Actually....they work great. Those $100 kits and a dedicated old oven are all you need. (Toxic fumes) Prep work is critical. I have had a lot of parts done by two guys who do this in the garages at thier homes. We have done about 50 parts that way. It is just plastic powder put on with an electro-static charge. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. No big deal.

I spoke to Mike (Slingshot) last year on the phone about re-powdercoating the grab bars and swim platform on my AT. I would have used Mike except that I couldnt get UPS to ship the oversized pieces. Mike told me what was going to go wrong if I didnt get the pieces to him but still spent the time telling me what to look for and how it should be done if I brought it somewhere else.

Every thing he said would happen (wrong) did. Because of that next time Im taking it to Mike and anyone who asks, send it to Mike.

I had some valve covers done in permastar (ebony chrome) by the guy who says he does all Edelbrock's stuff. Looked great when it returned. It immediately started peeling. Also scratches if you look at it too hard.

I was told it was not baked properly. Do you do the permastar? would like it done right this time. I may have to resort to chrome otherwise.

have something as close to chrome as possible in powder...not to familiar with permastar... i think you will be happy
