Impellers that dont burn out

Found a company at Zuls today that makes sea pump impellers that can run dry and not burn the blades off the impeller. Its a company called Globe Marine. The impeller looks like a Mercury impeller but is blue.It has a special coating on it.Not that expensive either.

They have been around for a while. Your engine will run 8-15* warmer with a Blue Globe over standard Merc impellor. I am pretty sure they have some type of teflon/silicon to their construction. Do a search; has been info on them in the past here on OSO.

Bevery careful with the Globes. They are softer and more flexible that stock impellers. They will run hotter due to lower flow and they have been found to have problems in engines that see extended high RPM usage. I just had one fail on me and it looked perfectly fine, just wouldn't move water. If your engine is basically stock it should work fine, and they wil run dry with no burn out.
