Hi thinking of duplicating your 1989 trip, your advice to me two years ago was great and still on the board.
Back in 1989, I am guessing there were many fewer no wake zones then, or am I wrong on that?

There where plenty of them in Florida but on the day I left waves were 2-3' so I did all of florida offshore avoiding the no-wake zones there.
I don't recal that many zones outside of Florida. Mainly when you got to habitated centers Hilton Head, Morehead City and so forth. And I have no idea how they have changed however.

Yep, that is the thread. I am worried about points north of Florida being invaded by no wake zones. If so, it is not likely I could complete this trip in 14 days runing five hours a day. I think DJD did the trip recently in his 50 foot Bertram in 3 days running day and night, but I am guessing nearly all was offshore.
