Thanks guys..........there is some green in it. It doesnt show up very good in the pics but you can see it under the M in mercury. Good or bad, we'll just call it very custom and very different.
Chris, we used model paint and sticking didnt seem to be a problem. We primed it white sho that the blue would not get too dark.

I've considered the same thing in red without the splatter. Cheaper than $250 apiece for the custom cover that's on the market. I think that's rediculous for what it is!
did you mask off the decals or just get new ones? Any prep on the plastic other than free of grease and oil? Tough to get the paint down in the slots I'll bet.

What's with the cover on a 496 anyway? Is it really ugly without it? Kinda,like the paper bag thing on a questionable date? Makes all the right sounds and gets the job done, but if you get a good look at it the mood goes away. Doug

yeah , and while your at it , do some of those culterd marble sinks in tmp green , that will flow faster too
