Not Sold, Speed's for sale through Pier 57! The owner that designed the boat built the boat as a bet between him and a friend, now that the bet is over he's ready to go build another one. His desire is to design cool one-off stuff and then sell them, not to use them.

So to correct myself I should be saying he commissioned the build I know the guy was very proud of it, but I understood the boat to be his. Either way, putting time and insight to a project of that magnitude gives you some well eared rights

At the Miami show one of our close friends (and OSO member) was told by MTI and David Woods it is for sale and what number would buy it. That number was nowhere close to $1.3 or even $1 million. They said it IS privately owned but IS for sale. That's David Woods owner of Pier 57 marine and the MTI crew. It gets no more credible than that.

Indeed Brandon your right...numbers in ads and at the end of a bar are usally very different from when one shows up with a certified or a bank check.
