Where to go in LA?
I'm going to LA (20th-23rd) for some R&R.
So I would like to know of a place to go Sat or Sun (which is better?) to see some offshore boats? Is there a place like shooters there? Thanks.

Re: Where to go in LA?
Not much action that I know of in LA for Offshore boats.
Your best bet may be Newport Beach. Rent an electric boat for a couple hours. Go cruise the bay and look thousands of boats.
If you wanna see SoCal Offshore speed boats, you need to go to Havasu, but that's too far from LA for day trip.
PM me for my phone number if you want more info. Dave

I will be out of town this weekend, but there might be some SCOPE members heading out.. A lot of the offshore boats go out of Newport Harbor and out of Long Beach.. Head down to the Yardhouse in Long Beach for lunch on and you might see somebody out.
