Default Integrity in the Boat Business

I have a feeling that this thread is gonna get whacked before it builds too much steam, but here it is.

Let me first appologize in advance to OSO Steve. I don't want to hurt advertising...

A couple of observations I have made since I've been visiting this awesome site.

One, the people here are by and large are honorable, likeable, and bound by a common passion- boating.

Two, these same people have a need for boating services and parts.

Three, these same people have been bitten by some "Get rich quick" "Boat expert" either by service or parts.

My goal with this thread is to get the good names of boat vendors and service providers out there. I'm forever looking for the best deal (read-cheap). I do believe however that the best deal is one that is not just the lowest price the the best bang for your buck.
I'm tired of hearing about boat dealers that take advantage of us. I'm tired of vendors that sell us a product that simply won't do what it's touted to do.
I'm tired of hearing about peoples ideas that are copied with no regard to the inventor.
These people that lie, give empty promises, and are generally full of sh*t need to know that we are wiser and better informed than they are.

List the companies that you've been proud to do business with. Like a fraternity- we are, patronize those we trust. Abandon those we don't.

Bam Marine has been great for ordering mercruiser parts from and has really good prices. A lot cheaper than the local dealer.

Renegade Marine in Opa Locka , Miami.
They built me a 29' CC the way I wanted it. Once the boat was out of the mold it took them just under 6 weeks to rig & complete my boat! Gave them a small cash deposit & I had to give them money , never did they ask for any $$. We shook hands & they honored their end 100% & more. The crew at Renegade never charged me for extra's like dual rams on my steering, extra hatches, additional rigging & even when I upgraded my Bolsters ...no extra cost. There are some reputable boat builders in S. Fl.!
Livorsi Marine have been pleasure as well
Throttle Up Propellers are tops! Can't find better ,nicer people!
Hydromotive Propellers are great.

Hideaway Marina has a bunch of good people, and Pierre has always had a very good reputation... Honest.

They're the FL Cigarette connection.... I'm sure he'll expand their lines before too long...
Merc Racing service cert as well... Need your 850 or 1075 tuned in???

Troy at Supreme marine is very easy to get along with as well. Great rigging.

Lightning Bay also has a good rep around here...
